New DuPont Tychem® 2000 Chemical Protective Aprons
The DuPont Tychem® 2000 (formerly Tychem QC) Chemical Protective Apron is a specialized barrier garment designed for personnel handling hazardous liquids, light chemical splashes, and industrial contaminants. Engineered for the U.S. Military and industrial safety sectors, this apron utilizes a high-strength DuPont Tyvek® fabric coated with a specialized polyethylene film. This combination results in a lightweight, yet exceptionally rugged material that provides at least 30 minutes of protection against more than 40 common chemical challenges.
In New (unissued) condition, these aprons are a critical component for laboratory work, chemical mixing, emergency decontamination, and industrial cleaning. The "Sea Yellow" color is a safety standard, providing high visibility in low-light or high-traffic work zones. Sized for universal coverage, these aprons feature integrated waist and neck ties to ensure a secure, customized fit over standard duty uniforms or coveralls.
