USGI
Intermediate Cold Weather Mummy Sleeping Bag (OD Green) - Used
The USGI
Intermediate Cold Weather Mummy Sleeping Bag is a legendary piece of field
gear originally developed under the classic M-1949 and early modular sleep
system lineages. Purpose-built to keep U.S. troops warm in austere,
freezing environments, this rugged survival bag is officially rated to sustain
comfortable core temperatures down to $15^\circ\text{F}$
($-9^\circ\text{C}$).
Constructed
with an anatomically sculpted "mummy" silhouette, the bag tapers from
a wide shoulder box down to a compact foot box, minimizing dead air space to
optimize heat retention. The interior is packed with thick, high-loft 1000%
premium polyester fiber filling that retains its thermal insulating
properties even when exposed to high humidity or damp field conditions. The
outer skin is fabricated from a wind-resistant, heavy-duty water-repellent
nylon fabric designed to handle rough ground friction.
In Used
military surplus condition, these sleeping bags carry the character of active
field service but remain completely operational. Every bag is fully inspected
to ensure the zipper works flawlessly and the insulation maintains excellent
loft. Expect standard signs of prior deployment, such as light cosmetic fading
of the Olive Drab shell, minor surface scuffs, or handwritten soldier numbers
on the stenciled text blocks. They are free of major holes, structural tears,
or broken hardware.
