"Old Style" ACU Elbow & Knee Pad Set - Used

"Old Style" ACU Elbow & Knee Pad Set - Used

The ACU "Old Style" Pad Set refers to the external, hard-shell protective gear issued during the early stages of the Universal Camouflage Pattern (UCP) rollout. Unlike modern combat pants with integrated internal pockets, these pads are designed to be worn over the uniform. They feature a rugged, injection-molded plastic cap riveted to a heavy-duty nylon and foam base, providing maximum protection against impact and abrasion on rocky or urban terrain.

In Used surplus condition, these sets are inspected for structural integrity. While they may show "honest wear"—such as scratches on the plastic caps, fading of the ACU fabric, or unit markings—the hook-and-loop straps and foam padding remain fully functional. They are a favorite for paintball, airsoft, or DIY projects where professional-grade joint protection is needed at a surplus value.
