Industries CIRAS Ballistic Deltoid Protector Set (fielded as part of the
MSAP / Modular Shoulder Armor Project and specialized SOCOM loadouts) is an
elite-tier armor upgrade system designed for the CIRAS (Combat Integrated
Releasable Armor System) and related tactical plate carriers. Engineered to
fill a critical protective gap in high-threat direct action environments, these
shoulder wings provide vital fragmentation and ballistic protection to the
upper arm, deltoid muscle, and axillary (underarm) pathways without
compromising the operator's range of motion.
Constructed
from military-weight, abrasion-resistant 500 or 1000 Denier Cordura® Nylon,
these armor carriers easily secure to the shoulder straps of a vest using a
heavy-duty hook-and-loop web suspension system, anchored by lower bicep tension
bands to prevent riding up or shifting during dynamic weapon transitions.
